Self-care includes any
activity aimed at improving your physical or psychological health, as well as
your ability to perform daily tasks. By caring for yourself you are able to
recognize and prevent potential harm to your health and wellbeing. Different
elements of caring for yourself include: eating well, exercising, managing
medications and pain, practicing good hygiene and appropriate smoking and drinking habits, and avoiding stress.
